BIO

Sylvia is a glass artist from Takoma Park, Maryland currently studying at the Cleveland Institute of Art in Cleveland, Ohio. Their work uses bright colors and make fun and interesting functional ware and has been included in exhibitions at the Cleveland Institute of Art. Sylvia is the recipient of the CIA Recognition Scholarship for Excellence in Craft and the Penland School of Craft Higher Education Partner Program Scholarship. They studied cane and murrini with Kazuki Takizawa at Penland School of Craft in Penland, North Carolina. They had the opportunity to attend the Glass Art Society 2022 conference in Tacoma, Washington.
